NORTHERN MNEMONICS June 5th to 26th

NORTHERN MNEMONICS

is showing at the First Unitarian Congregation of Toronto, 175 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto. The opening held Sunday June 5th was fun and engaging as congregation members gathered to see the exhibit following the morning service.  Many questions were posed and conversations had following my brief talk about my work. While I did not take photos at the opening here are few from my installation.

If you would like to visit please call ahead as the facilities are rented out during the week so visit times vary weekly. 416-924-9654  ext 0

JAPANESE PAPER PLACE OPEN HOUSE

THE JAPANESE PAPER PLACE FINDS A NEW HOME IN ETOBICOKE

Last Wednesday June 1st The Japanese Paper Place hosted an open house in their new warehouse location at 103 The East Mall, Unit 1, Etobicoke, M8Z 5X9. The new location is spacious, organized suiting the needs of the business and clients very well. It is easy to reach too. See directions on the JPP website http://www.japanesepaperplace.com.

The open house featured many demonstrations with artists and JPP staff. This was an occasion of re-connecting in a new space that gave everyone enthusiasm for using washi and attending future workshops and events.

Your blogger will be doing one of the fall workshops. When details are finalized I will post the workshop annoucement here – so keep checking in if you can.

For now here are a few photos of the open house:
